‘ Diahaan Charis ‘ as a name was coined in 2013. For the sake of the designer’s passion for fashion, during her preparation for the entrance exams to NIFT.
Life has an uncanny way of teaching through experience. It is this experience and multiple experiences of heart-break, loss, insecurity, finding herself, that led to her understanding of the need for the presence of God in one’s life. Everyone is called to live a holy life, even the ordinary and the mundane choices we make can significantly impact our sanctity.
‘Diahaan Charis’ was born out of a passion to serve women of God, through a blend of faith and fashion. The virtue of modesty is timeless, eternal even. A variety in modest, edgy, elegant and conservative looks are increasingly becoming rare day by day, with a need and necessity, passion and action, We make our client’s designs dreams come true, in making them true visions of Divine Grace. Clothed in Divine Grace, May She come to love herself, The way God loves her and we do too.
Our goal at Diahaan Charis is to empower women in their choice to dress conservatively yet fashionably in Indo-western styles of designer clothing. Whether it be just for Sunday Mass, a day at work, a date or an evening with your girlfriends, our designs and garments would make you feel graceful, powerful, happy, carefree and feminine. We want to inspire women to never give up on achieving dreams and making their fantasies a reality.
She’s a devout Catholic, who loves to dress modestly, 25-40 years of age, a professional woman, status conscious, career driven and hardworking, classy and loves to pray on her knees irrespective of her clothing, the church is her space of peace and calm. She desires to be a globe trotter and enjoys visiting new places and cultures, especially visiting new churches and time spent in prayer. Loves to read and write. She is Elegant, Feminine with a slight bit of feisty attitude. Enjoys creativity and innovative style. She is constantly seeking to improve and upgrade her qualities, is aware she is imperfectly perfect and seeks comfort, practicality and visual aesthetic appeal. She chooses to be the modern definition of Modesty and feminine elegance. Her ardent love for God keeps her going – hence, she choses to embrace her story and wears her heart literally on her sleeves. We want to help you love yourself, your story and who God sees in you, through our exclusive apparel designs made especially for you!
As a women, she tirelessly holds the corporate-social life balance together, yet, she knows, divine grace plays a significant role in her evolution. A combination of personal experience and beliefs epitomizes her style.

MS. RUTH HANNAH PEREIRA is a Mumbai based Fashion Designer. An ex student of NIFT and INIFD, she has the best of both worlds : A strong firm foundation in Fashion Design at NIFT and an exposure to the Fashion Industry practically with INIFD Bandra. April 1, 2018, She was one of 30 selected students to showcase her design on the ramp at BOMBAY TIMES FASHION WEEK.

Her fashion design journey began at the age of 16 when she began to participate in multiple college festivals throughout Mumbai in 2011 on St. Xavier’s Contingent. She won Malhar’s flagship fashion event – ‘ Forever da Moda ‘ judged by Malaika Arora and Miss India International 2012: Rochelle Maria Rao, in 2013 at St. Xavier’s College, the same year she also won Runners up, 2nd place at Mood Indigo’s flagship fashion event judged by Ms. Neeta Lulla. She participated in Mood Indigo 2011, was selected past round 1 by Mr. Wendell Rodricks, nonetheless winning this event with no concrete background in fashion – just an application of art and design aesthetics as well as a passion for fashion, she used symbolism in every event she participated.
There always is a concept or a moral she likes to work with. Everything she does, always has meaning and purpose. It is what makes her thrive.
Through ‘Diahaan Charis’ her goal is to create artistic wearable pieces, clothing, apparel, to make women with imperfect bodies find comfort within themselves with perfect fitting clothing and encourage living in Modesty and Divine Grace.
Women they want the one-of-a-kind experience of owning a designer product, made especially for them, without the pinch of their pockets.
” Design for me is like the art of story telling. The use of symbolsm, color, texture, shape, form, lines and dots to impact a creative thought process, unique and pertaining solely to the perspective of the individual. I like working with a story, a fable with a moral. I believe every design, like every woman has a story to tell. For many years, the most powerful form of communication has been parables or story telling and my wearable works of art are fine displays of it’s relevance in creating new history today. Not only can can connections be made with emotions and experiences but also answer’s client problems fulfilling it’s reason for being, without overlooking design aesthetics and that is why Women want to identify, purchase and wear a Diahaan Charis product exclusively made by us for you.
Inspired by the Catholic Faith and God’s word through the scriptures, the influence of everything created under the sun, from life at conception, to the last breath of air, the musical highs and lows, the journeys undertaken, themes – have always been a part of what I work on. Our designs are narrators themselves, personified objects keeping in mind my target audience – meeting people- as they are, for who they are whilst being true to myself –
